There are times we pass like ships in the night,

then others we’re hardly out of sight.

You don’t judge the shadows under my eyes,

you give me a hug when I’m full of sighs.

We’ve giggled, danced and sang some songs,

we’ve righted the world from all its wrongs.

No matter if we’re together or not,

you’re never far away from my thoughts.

As life sails along and you’re pulled by the waves,

And you wish at times you could run away

She sighed with relief

as she felt the fire return.

Seeing her story right there,

unveiled before her eyes

She smiled in anticipation

as she fully realised,

Even the burdens are blessings,

ordained before conception

In her mind, a reflection

of the sacredness,

of the words written

revealing her story

in all its glory,

from beyond time

in the book of life.
