Forgive me father for I have sinned.

to confess to a church that closed its doors

on me before I was even born.

I am too proud for that.

Ignoring my truth, in favour of a story,

an idea, a vision I held of what must be

To give others something I didn’t have.

I’m here now and have improved my ways.

I trembled, thinking I was alone at times.

I feared, the dreams were just a tease

I’m now being carried and fly with ease.
