A Touching Tribute

Trembling

in anticipation

of the words

Weaving

lyrically

through the air

Filling

the space

between us

Caressing

like butterfly

kisses

Landing

gently,

sweetly.

Touching

the unexplored

depths

Savouring

this mystical

moment.

Dripping

velvet raindrops

fall.

Bringing

me to the edge

of sanity

Becoming

entranced,

dancing now

Searching

deeper

and deeper.

Probing

my desire

for more

Strumming

harmonic

rhythms.

Erupting

in thanks

and praise

Blessing

this moment

and all it holds

Singing

another song

and another

Playing

on and on

and on

The Butterfly Returned

The butterfly returned

This time in a dream

It sought me out

Not just passing by

It was bigger now

I know it sounds crazy

but she seemed to understand

To remember me from before.

She rested on my finger

Outstretching her wings

For me to see,

She seemed to be asking

“Do you remember me?”

She paused for a moment

Then danced before my eyes

Showing me the other side

And then I realised

She’s showing me it’s her

That we’ve met before.

I smiled in recognition

and together we danced

in the wonder of it all.
